This course will provide you with the knowledge and skills you’ll need to safely visit the underwater world. You’ll have fun as your instructor prepares you for the excitement of entry level diving activities in your local area.
The PADI Open Water Course is divided into three segments.
- Academic training – Gives you the basic principles and knowledge you need for safe and enjoyable diving.
- Confined pool training – Will teach you the basic skills of diving.
- Open Water training – Allows you to demonstrate your mastery of these skills and practice them in a typical diving environment.
- 12 years of age or older
- Completion of a diving medical statement
Upon successful completion of this course you will be awarded the PADI Open Water Certification card enabling you to dive anywhere throughout the world to depth down to a maximum of 18 metres, hire equipment from dive stores, with the certification valid for life.
Three to four days with approximately three hours per day.
